The Felins team was thrilled to connect with fresh produce and floral packaging leaders at the vibrant Global Produce and Floral Show (GPFS) 2023 in Anaheim last week.
As the premier trade show for the latest in produce and floral products as well as the packaging technologies needed for logistics and retail, GPFS 2023 brought together a variety of companies such as Driscoll’s, Marie Callender’s, Green Giant, Dole, Stemilt Growers, Multivac, Ossid, and more. Felins Packaging brought forth solutions designed to maintain freshness, reduce waste, lower labor costs, and deliver an enhanced consumer experience.
Booth 2512 showcased our innovative produce packaging equipment and labeling systems, providing hands-on demos for attendees using their real produce and floral samples. From adhesive-free labeling and ultrasonic banding to automatic sleeving and sustainable packaging materials, we highlighted automation to optimize operations. Our team of produce packaging experts had a great time discussing project possibilities and seeing how we can tailor solutions to each company’s unique needs and production environment. It was fulfilling to see attendees’ excitement as they experienced the benefits of our packaging technologies including increased output, prolonged produce shelf-life, and variety of packaging materials firsthand.
Beyond our booth, connecting with fellow pioneers in produce and floral packaging was a highlight. The vibrant show floor buzzed with fresh perspectives while meeting sustainability goals. The invaluable discussions shaped ideas for how our industry can continue evolving in a responsible way. A way that checks off all the boxes for all parties involved. Through sustainable produce packaging we can help preserve our planet’s resources, help the food industry meet the demands of consumers, and help produce companies grow by saving them money on their bottom line. A prime example of this is our partnership with Stemilt Growers. We collaborated with them to create the EZ band on their sustainable 4-pack of apples. These easy-to-remove-and-recycle bands optimize retail value for consumers and reduce waste – a win-win for efficiency and sustainability.
Another highlight was co-exhibiting alongside our partners from Wexler Packaging. Their east coast team provides complementary automated packaging solutions and it was fun to collaborate at the show. From jointly demoing our latest innovations to going out to dinner together on the first night, we always value time spent with the Wexler crew. Their passion for driving progress in sustainable packaging aligns seamlessly with our own. Events like GPFS provide a chance to further strengthen our partnership and shape the future packaging landscape together.
Powering it all was the knowledgeable Felins team, from sales staff providing insightful demos to marketing members engaging social followers. Their expertise and passion for transforming produce packaging were evident. GPFS 2023 provided an inspiring look at the future of fresh food packaging. Felins is now even more energized to continue developing solutions that set new standards for the produce, floral, and sustainable packaging industries. We eagerly anticipate the innovations GPFS 2024 will uncover!
